Something We Never Imagined is a compelling story about a country boy named Colton Dust, who moves to Los Angeles to study journalism at USC after graduating from high school in his small hometown. A few years after earning his journalism degree, he quickly rises through the ranks as a news columnist in LA when his first column at a smaller newspaper catches the eye of the Editor-in-Chief at the largest newspaper in the city of Angels. 

Just as he is achieving success in his career, Colton meets a beautiful young woman named Emma Lee Coal, who stirs feelings in him he hasn't experienced in a long time. However, to open his heart, he must confront a painful experience from his past that continues to haunt him. Although Emma Lee is initially enchanted by Colton's charming looks, she soon finds him somewhat brash and self-centered. Still, she is intrigued and wants to understand why he thinks the way he does; she just isn't sure if she'll ever see him again after their first encounter. 

Then, a twist of fate brings them together again, and Emma Lee begins to help Colton experience the healing power of forgiveness. As his life reaches a crossroads, he must decide whether he truly has faith and trust in God to embrace something he never imagined.
